Since 2005, our business has been rooted in log and timber home construction, selling wood directly from our sawmill without a retail presence. We noticed a gap in the market: customers were looking for a well-organized store with an online inventory to save time and avoid the hassle of searching through piles of wood. They sought dry, flat, ready-to-use wood slabs, and transparent pricing to eliminate the need for haggling.
In response, we launched Rustic Lumber Store in 2019, pioneering a true, shoppable online catalog with detailed photos, propelling us to become a national leader. Our specialties include wood slabs, lumber, finishes, custom furniture, timber structures, beams, logs, and wood processing services.

Returns
All sales are final. We do not take returns on wood products. If return is approved by Rustic Lumber Store we will charge a 15% restocking fee.
Damages and issues
Wood products are sold as is. Wood is a natural product; it will have natural defects. Custom built projects come with a 90-day warranty.
Exchanges
Defective products can be exchanged for replacement product. Defects will be determined by Rustic Lumber Store. Custom built projects will be returned and repaired accordingly. Customer is responsible for transportation return of the product.
Shipping Estimate Errors
The nature of most of our products being large and requiring ltl shipping, automated ups ground quotes are typically not applicable to most products we have. We do our best to have accurate shipping cost on all of our products on our website to cover ltl shipping on large items. How ever sometimes we miss on aligning our products into the correct shipping category. If our website quoted you incorrect shipping cost at check out, we will contact you with correct shipping cost. You have a choice to either pay the difference or we can refund the item back to you. If the shipping cost seems to good to be true, it probably is incorrect.

Have used on caro walnut, american sycamore, cherry, birdseye maple, ash, white oak and african mahogany. The hydrophobic protection is great, it does add a subtle and silky sheen to most wood species but really added something special to walnut and maple. The depth of color, clarity and sheen really stood out on those woods compared to others. Will definitely keep using on furniture, it’s such a great system alongside hard wax oil finishes. Very happy

I really enjoyed buying from this company. The customer service and delivery were exceptional.
I understand it is my responsibility to shop for the best price and having said that I have found that Rustic limber is nearly twice the price of other millworks in the area. I purchaced some planks from them only to find out later that they are twice the price. This is an outrage to me that they would be so expensive especially with live edge materials. My advise is to shop around because these folks are way over priced to the point of a rip-off!

**Rustic Lumber Experience**
Our journey with rustic lumber began several years ago when we envisioned crafting our own table. Although that project is still on the horizon, it remains a goal.
In mid-December, we embarked on a remodeling venture, focusing on updating our fireplace. During this process, we decided to visit Rustic Lumber to explore their offerings. We were completely unprepared for the remarkable experience that awaited us. From the moment we entered the front office and met with David and Zach, we were impressed by their attentiveness and professionalism. They took the time to understand our vision and shared captivating stories about many of the unique pieces available in their collection.
We discovered the ideal mantel for our fireplace, and during our visit, we also learned about additional services they offer to assist with our ongoing home remodeling projects. Furthermore, they provided us with contacts for local craftsmen, enhancing our options for future work.
Though Louisville is a short drive away, the trip is undoubtedly worthwhile. While you’re there, be sure to explore their diverse selection of wood sourced from around the globe; it’s a fascinating opportunity to gain insight into the world of lumber.
The Guys at Rustic Lumber Store did an incredible job on my countertop! They are amazing artists. I am an Interior Designer and have worked in several States and they are the best! So detailed and take such pride in their work. They do what they promise and do it with such respect to their clients. Was looking to purchase some exotic wood. Saw the post come through Facebook for tthis species. Going to make some cutting boards with it. Very helpful staff. They know their stuff. No pressure sales.
I got a cookie slab on a big sale. I was disappointed in the the checking / cracks that were on it. I recommend when you order an expensive slab that you get the latest picture from them. I was not happy and the team at Rustic made it right. Overall the slab was thick and flat, overall a good experience in the end and stand up company. Much appeciated the commication.
Long time woodworker here.. have tried many ceramics from the "big" players.. Cam at Blacktail, Black Forrest, etc. and can say with confidence this is the best one yet. It goes on and wipes off with ease, and no overlapping streaks. The added water resistance is amazing, and clients love the silky feel it gives finished pieces; especially if you pair it with the Rustic Lumber furniture oil (which is also my go to finishing oil.) Ignore the review from Dale B... he obviously wasn't using it properly. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!
