I got a cookie slab on a big sale. I was disappointed in the the checking / cracks that were on it. I recommend when you order an expensive slab that you get the latest picture from them. I was not happy and the team at Rustic made it right. Overall the slab was thick and flat, overall a good experience in the end and stand up company. Much appeciated the commication.

I understand it is my responsibility to shop for the best price and having said that I have found that Rustic limber is nearly twice the price of other millworks in the area. I purchaced some planks from them only to find out later that they are twice the price. This is an outrage to me that they would be so expensive especially with live edge materials. My advise is to shop around because these folks are way over priced to the point of a rip-off!
Great product and even better customer service. I had a delivery of 9gals and one showed up damaged/ missing. The missing gallon was shipped ASAP. Thanks again RLS!
**Rustic Lumber Experience**
Our journey with rustic lumber began several years ago when we envisioned crafting our own table. Although that project is still on the horizon, it remains a goal.
In mid-December, we embarked on a remodeling venture, focusing on updating our fireplace. During this process, we decided to visit Rustic Lumber to explore their offerings. We were completely unprepared for the remarkable experience that awaited us. From the moment we entered the front office and met with David and Zach, we were impressed by their attentiveness and professionalism. They took the time to understand our vision and shared captivating stories about many of the unique pieces available in their collection.
We discovered the ideal mantel for our fireplace, and during our visit, we also learned about additional services they offer to assist with our ongoing home remodeling projects. Furthermore, they provided us with contacts for local craftsmen, enhancing our options for future work.
Though Louisville is a short drive away, the trip is undoubtedly worthwhile. While you’re there, be sure to explore their diverse selection of wood sourced from around the globe; it’s a fascinating opportunity to gain insight into the world of lumber.
The Guys at Rustic Lumber Store did an incredible job on my countertop! They are amazing artists. I am an Interior Designer and have worked in several States and they are the best! So detailed and take such pride in their work. They do what they promise and do it with such respect to their clients. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants a unique, one-of-a-kind project. I definitely intend to use them again!

Long time woodworker here.. have tried many ceramics from the "big" players.. Cam at Blacktail, Black Forrest, etc. and can say with confidence this is the best one yet. It goes on and wipes off with ease, and no overlapping streaks. The added water resistance is amazing, and clients love the silky feel it gives finished pieces; especially if you pair it with the Rustic Lumber furniture oil (which is also my go to finishing oil.) Ignore the review from Dale B... he obviously wasn't using it properly. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!
The clear oil works very well and is durable. It's one coat finish is a bit less shiny than the Rubio product but on a very good note is it dries much faster. Also it doesn't have that ridiculous fruity smell. A second coat bring the shine to the same level as two coats from the other product.
Great product at a reasonable price. Won’t be using the “R” product anymore!
